March 24th, 2014. Miami, FL. Dr. Jose Almeida, Director of the Miami Vein Center, recently received a prestigious promotion from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Almeida, who is already well-known in the medical community as a top vascular specialist and the founder of the international Vein Congress, was promoted to a full professor at the medical school.
The promotion from Voluntary Associate Professor to Voluntary Professor of Surgery comes after many years of service at the University. “I’m delighted to have my academic achievements recognized by a prestigious university,” said Dr. Almeida. ” I’ve been working hard the past 16 years.”
Dr. Almeida will serve a three-year term as Voluntary Professor of Surgery at the Miller School of Medicine. He will also continue his full time role as the Medical Director and lead vascular surgeon at Miami Vein Center.
